Another upgrade in Brighton! This senior homeowner was having problems with their microwave oven. Every time they went to use it, it would trip the power. This was not only inconvenient for them but also indicated to us that there was a larger problem with their switchboard.

Switchboard Upgrade

To make sure that this homeowner's house was safe, our electricians decided to inspect their switchboard. Our electricians discovered that the circuit breakers and safety switches were tripping when the microwave was being used. We replaced and upgraded:

• 4 16Amp Residual Circuit Breakers with Overcurrent Protection
• 1 10Amp Residual Circuit Breaker with Overcurrent Protection
• 1 20Amp Circuit Breaker

To ensure that the switchboard was up to code and working properly, our team fully tested the new RCBOs and circuit breaker. The new RCBOs provided individual circuit protection, helping to improve the electrical reliability and safety of this Brighton home.

New Microwave Installation

While we were there, we also removed the homeowner's old microwave and supplied a new replacement.

It was a straightforward job, but taking care of both the switchboard upgrade and microwave replacement meant the homeowner could get everything sorted in one visit.
