Fault Finding Solutions For Flickering Lights
Electrical Fault Finding And Lighting Repairs In Wheelers Hill
In this Wheelers Hill home, the master bedroom light would randomly switch off, while an outdoor light would stop working and then turn back on without warning. With no obvious safety switch or circuit breaker trips, our electricians conducted a fault-finding inspection to help identify the issue.
Our Fault Finding Process
Our electricians thoroughly inspected the impacted lighting circuits and also investigated the outdoor flickering lights. As the outdoor lights would flicker in and out without warning, it can be difficult to pinpoint the issue, especially as it might not be present when help arrives. Our team conducted careful testing and fault-finding to locate the underlying issues rather than just replacing the light fitting.
The work included:
- Fault-finding on the master bedroom light switch
- Investigating the flickering outdoor light
- Replacing the home's residual circuit breaker for the lighting circuits
- Testing and commissioning
Residual Circuit Breaker and Safety Switch Replacement
As part of this repair and replacement, the existing safety switch breaker was replaced with a newer, safer switch circuit breaker. This was also tested to ensure it is safe to use.
Certificate of Electrical Safety
With every electrical job we complete, we also issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety (COES). This certificate provides proof that the repair, replacement or installation was completed safely and complied with the latest Victorian safety rules and regulations. We uploaded it to the Energy Safe Victoria portal and gave a physical copy to the customer.
